Cross certificate : "The server's Domino Directory does not contain any cross certifcates capable of authenticating you" ~Vanessa Fronitheroden 16.Jan.04 02:11 AM a Web browser Domino Administrator All ReleasesAll Platforms
I've searched this forum a number of times, and have not found a resolution to this problem.
I installed a new Domino 6.5 server (from scratch). I want to migrate an old discussion database (actually from inside IBM) and provide access to everyone that had access before. I had manager access to the original database, so migrating it wasn't a problem.
I can access the database fine when I'm using an ID from the same domain. I'm using Notes client 6.02CF1.
I first tried cross certifying (using my admin ID on my new server on my /IBM ID), and it shows up on certifcate view just fine. Based on suggested from the internal IBM forums, I also tried "Mathew's" way of cross-certifying the key. This doesn't show up on the certicate view, but does show up in certification logs.
I'm stumped. I thought that this might be a Domino 6.5 server problem, but I see unanswered questions on this forum dating back a year. Thus, reverting back to a 6.0 server might not help.
Could anyone provide some diagnostics or suggestions? I don't see to be getting as far as a panel coming up in the Notes client asking if I want to cross-certify. This seems to be at a deeper level of security.
